Another milestone for Charlie as he makes the first of what will be thousands and thousands of cash withdrawals from an ATM. He’s had a bank account for a while but this was the first time he used his bank card to get some cold hard cash. And thus Mum & Dad take another step closer to parental redundancy.

Santa has been very good to all of us this year. Hope yours was as happy a Christmas as ours.

Charlie’s ready to tuck in to his Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. We may celebrate a few days later here on England, but we still get to have a nice nap then watvh football just like the folks back home. And as ever, we have much to be thankful for.

We had another busy Halloween night with at least 200 trick-or-treaters descending on our house. They all loved our jack o’lanterns! And Charlie has another year’s supply of candy.

Charlie and I went to Wembley last night to see our beloved Chicago Bears beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21-18. We had great seats and a fantastic time. Charlie even confessed that watching “American” football was more exciting than watching baseball! Wait until I take him to see the Blackhawks…
