Charlie has a close look at an iron railing during our visit to Bruge last weekend, where we also checked out the windmills at the edge of the old town. It was our sixth (we think) visit to this magical place and Charlie’s second, and we’ll definitely be back again soon, particularly as we found […]

The impressive train shed of the newly opened St Pancras International Station, now the London terminus of the Eurostar service, the Christmas lights on the Champs Elysee leading up to the Arc de Triomphe, and the Paris traffic seen from La Defense - all taken at either end of my just completed business trip to […]

This is the view of the Tetons we had from Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton National Park. We took quite a few photos of these magnificent mountains when we weren’t taking pictures of mooses and other critters. More photos to come on flickr.

Charlie getting his toes wet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time at Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, and watching the waves roll in with Daddy. We were just a few hundred yards north of The Wedge, but it wasn’t breaking big this day. Maybe next time!

With our long, cold winter refusing to give way to spring (current temperature -2C) our thoughts turn to a summer stroll through the streets of Siena. Wish we were there, wish it were summer.
